1:1 Creative Therapies

Let’s get curious…

We all experience pain & suffering - whether it be physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual pain. Sometimes our pain becomes unbearable or impacts our day to day life in ways that aren’t beneficial to us. Humans yearn to be free from pain but sometimes it can be difficult to know the best way to set it free. There are many beneficial modalities available however I am passionate about providing support specifically focusing on Creative Expression.

Creative Therapies involve weaving Therapeutic Intervention with many forms of creativity as a way to:
- access the ‘whole’ person - left & right brain, mind, body, soul, intuition
- explore, express & understand our emotions, fears, dreams or challenges
- learn about ourselves & how we respond to life’s experiences
- transform our pain and suffering into treasures that benefit us ie. insight, forgiveness, love, joy, peace, humility, purpose

I specialise in Sandplay Therapy.

Sandplay Therapy is my favourite tool for Creative Expression as it quickly accesses all parts of a person - mind, body & soul - to assist with the transformation of their current challenge into relief, understanding, empowerment, a solution or a gift. It also can have a playful aspect, which can make looking at difficult things, much easier and with more clarity.

A Sandplay session involves a person choosing symbols/miniatures from a shelf (imagine animals, people, household items, nature) and placing them in the Sandtray. This creates a visual picture of their internal world. Their conscious and subconscious mind work together to choose these symbols. Due to this, the challenge and possible solutions present themselves, as the human psyche innately wants to support you to overcome your challenges, to learn, grow and embrace your potential. The symbols chosen guides what we explore together, as they are an indication of what is ready to be explored and nurtured.

Other creative tools that we can use, which are very beneficial for self-expression in their own right, include art, play, lego, puppets, storytelling, dancing, drumming, & exploring in nature.

Each individual will be drawn to a particular type of creative expression
and your choice will be honoured and celebrated.
